perex/en
A perex, lead or lede is a short text (usually 2–5 sentences) whose purpose is to introduce and draw attention to the following text of an article, or to briefly summarize what the topic of the linked article is.
Here on wiki TheWoodcraft.org, template {{content}} works with it.
If a page categorized into the category which is source of pages to template {{content}} has a section with the same ID as the content of parameter content=, will be content of this sections displayed as perex on the page where is template located.
In original meaning perex (a short from latin expression per extensum = across the width) referred to a headline stretched across the entire width of a newspaper or magazine page. Today it's the opening paragraph of an article, also called a lead paragraph, in short the lead or lede (US). See
